Yes! The Wollige Winterweken (Cozy Winter Weeks) are back! From December 8th to January 7th, there is a lot to do in Geldrop-Mierlo. There's a spectacular ice rink, a sliding slope, a Christmas market, lots of music, and delicious food and drinks. We're also raising money for a good cause! This means you can submit a paid request to KommuS radio at the Glass House or on the website. Of course, the businesses are also running a fun fall promotion this year in the form of scratch cards with which you can win great prizes

KommuS Radio will be broadcasting live from the Glass House next to the ice rink in the center of Geldrop for the fourth time. The camera is on, so you can see how cozy it is in and around the studio. The local online radio station, by and for Geldrop-Mierlo, will play request songs for a minimum donation of 1 euro. During the Wollige Winterweken, there will also be special programs, interviews, and, of course, your very own KommuS Radio Top 500. You're welcome to visit the studio every day, and who knows, you might get to announce your favorite song
A Digital Movement Wall - for the children's department at the Anna Ziekenhuis
Donation Campaign
During the cozy December month, Geldrop-Mierlo is organizing a fundraising campaign. In previous years, donations have been made to organizations such as the Wensambulance Brabant and No Guts No Glory. This year, the goal is to collect donations for sick children in Geldrop-Mierlo, specifically for a well-deserved upgrade of the children's department at the Anna Ziekenhuis (Hospital). All donations, requests, gifts, and more will be used to purchase a digital motion wall.
Did you know that recovery after surgery or illness often occurs faster when you stay active? That's why the Anna Ziekenhuis wants to acquire a digital wall for the children's department. On this wall, children can play various motion games. For example, the game "Spot the Differences," where they can point out the differences with a stick or by tapping the correct answers to math problems. There are even sports games where the wall registers the child's movements. This way, children can move in a fun way, recover faster, and momentarily forget their worries. Wintersfeer Geldrop, KommuS, Magisch Mierlo, and the Weeffabriek are each contributing in their own way to collect donations.
