Culture in Geldrop-Mierlo

Geldrop and Mierlo both have long histories as villages and towns. You can still sense that history when visiting the various locations. Like in the Weaving Museum, which is located where the large wool factories used to be. Or in the old Geldrop Castle, which has had an important role since the year 1340.

If you are more in the mood for a unique film, concert or performance, then Cultureel Centrum Hofdael is the place to be. It is also worthwhile to take a look at the galleries and museums. There’s no reason to be bored while you are in the colourful Geldrop-Mierlo.

Cultureel Centrum Hofdael

Cultureel Centrum Hofdael is the centre for social, civic and cultural activities. You can see it as a theatre, a film house, a music stage and a place where the inhabitants of Geldrop-Mierlo can take interesting courses. Cultuurplein De Bleek in front of the centre is unique because of the old factory chimney in the middle, around which various creative markets are organised. The entrance to the Weaving Museum is adjacent to Centrum Hofdael. The oldest part of the building houses De Wiele, where young and old can indulge their creativity.
