The 'Rondje Geldrop-Mierlo Foundation’ organises tours through the center of Geldrop with the accompaniment of a guide. These guided tours take you past numerous historically interesting locations, buildings and monuments. The guide will tell you all kinds of facts along the way and will of course answer any questions the participants may have. Where possible, they try to illustrate matters by showing old historical photos and telling anecdotes.

Even before the year 1700 the ‘lakennijverheid’ (broadcloth industry) flourished in Geldrop. Even so, the textile industry only started booming in the year 1850. The great factories, chimneys and labourer and stately homes were built in this period.
