After the Villagemarketing Geldrop-Mierlo Foundation was formally founded in December 2018 and the composition of the board was announced, the activities were started.
The Foundation has determined an ambition and goal together with the municipality. The ambition to give Geldrop-Mierlo a much more powerful image inside its own municipality, but also towards the region. This has been laid down in a Policy Plan and a Service Agreement and the corresponding budget has been made available to the foundation.
The board has a broad composition. There is a good connection with culture, catering, tourism, museums and entrepreneurs via the board members. Because of this is it easy to work together to promote all the beauty of Geldrop-Mierlo.
We were quickly able to contract our marketer. He works approximately 20 hours a week for Geldrop-Mierlo. Robin Boom develops the policy plan into concrete actions and projects. This is going well. For the coming period, we have set three priorities: A new platform for digital destination marketing, striking visibility in the outdoor area and strengthening the events.
Resource development has started, starting with the creation of a beautiful photo-image database of the many beautiful places in Geldrop-Mierlo. But also a number of "after movies" of major events such as Pitpop and the Kommus Festival. The brand manual of "Verweeft & Vermaakt" is also available to all parties in Geldrop-Mierlo. We have brought it all on one communication line.
ANNUAL ACCOUNT 2019
The annual accounts have been prepared by Administratie- en Advieskantoor J.v.d. Shop from Geldrop. This office takes care of the financial administration for the foundation, including the preparation of the annual accounts, conducting the VAT administration, as well as tax advice.
The year 2019 was mainly dominated by 'quarter-making' and the development of plans that will only be fully implemented in 2020. By the end of 2020, the resources are expected to have been used to a large extent for the planned activities.
In addition to the plan development, a number of activities were carried out that supported the visibility of Geldrop-Mierlo in relation to the brand. From the municipality, Giel Kantelberg has continuously informed himself about the details of the activities and expenses for this by participating in the board meetings of the foundation.
