De Somerense Heide
The Somerense Heide is located south of the Strabrechtse Heide. A beautiful colorful walking and cycling area with various pools, such as the Beuven and the Keelven. The ANWB has set out a nice walking route around those fens. Foxes and deer live in the forests. A striking number birds have their base here, and in the summer you can see the darter flying in the hottest places. These reddish-brown dragonflies can be found all over the Netherlands, but it seems to be very busy in this area.
