French Weekend: Place du Tertre at Culture Square De Bleek

Artistic and creative market   De Wiele is organising the ‘Place du Tertre’ event during the French Weekend. In a cosy Parisian atmosphere, De Wiele's teachers and students will give presentations and mini-workshops on creative work forms. These include drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics and flower arranging. You can see them at work and they will be happy to tell you about it. There is also an opportunity to have your portrait taken or to do something yourself. So grab a brush and paint and put your idea on a canvas, chisel into a piece of stone, help make a vase out of clay or get to work creating paper. And especially for the youngsters among us, we have planned some special workshops. In short, enjoy!   There will also be beautiful work for sale! Paintings, drawings and ceramic sculptures will be there for ‘art and colour’! In addition, a large exhibition of all art forms in which classes are taught will be on display in the Wiele building.   Again this year: 2ndhand book market   This year there will again be a second-hand book market, organised by Literary Café Dommeldal, where individuals can offer their read books. Between the Wiele's book stalls and arty stalls, Inge from ismooi and her colleagues will occupy a spot among them, offering her finest collection of worn pre loved, second hand, second-hand and vintage (branded) clothes. To find out more about ismooi, click here   Exhibition ‘Salon de Wiele’     The beautiful work of the Wiele's students will be on display at the Salon de Wiele. It is an end-of-year exhibition of all art disciplines within the Wiele. This is definitely not to be missed!   In short, come and enjoy the atmosphere, with a coffee, a glass of wine and delicious French music in the background by buskers and French chansons can also be heard inside ... Place du Tertre: c'est une expérience créative unique!
